About Elaine

My name is Elaine Corona, and I’m a therapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Avon-by-the-Sea, New Jersey. I grew up and lived in New York for most of my life. I was always involved in some type of work where I was a “helper”. I decided to take this natural gift of mine and went back to school in my 30′s while a single mother and earned my Masters degree in Social Work from Columbia University. While in New York, I worked in the schools for a number of years and in several agencies counseling individuals and families.

Ten years ago, I moved to the Jersey Shore because I always had a dream of living by the sea. This is one of my dreams come true. Two years ago, I made a decision to start my own practice and opened an office five blocks from the beach … that too is another dream that I have seen come true in my life. Like many people, I have experienced much joy and also much pain in my life. I have so many good things in my life though, including that adorable little dog you see me holding there! Although life isn’t always so easy, I always try to remind myself to be grateful for all the good things and good people that I have in my life.

Over the last 25 years, I’ve helped many people overcome their difficulties and improve their lives and I can help you too.
